Attorney Attends Estate Planning Conference
Posted On 12/3/2008
CAMPBELL - Estate Planning Attorney, Roy W. Litherland, attended an educational conference in San Diego, CA in October sponsored by the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. The Academy is the premier national educational organization that promotes excellence in estate planning by providing member attorneys with research and vital updates in estate, tax and business planning law. The advanced training focused on innovative planning techniques for Legacy Wealth Planning. The training included Trust Provisions for Divorce, Disability, Children and Grandchildren, and Asset and Creditor Protection; Estate Planning for IRAs and Pension Plans Including the Family Retirement Preservation Trust; Alternatives to Planning for Minor Children and Grandchildren; and Working with Widows and Widowers. Additional Legacy Wealth Planning training included Estate Planning Myths: Why Most Estate Plans Fail and What to Do About It.
The Law Office of Roy W. Litherland focuses exclusively on estate and elder law planning and believes strongly in continuing education and felt it was important that their attorneys and staff attend this event. “It is imperative for our clients, and their families, that our office regularly attends these educational conferences to stay up to date on the constantly changing laws,” says Attorney Roy W. Litherland. “New laws and more effective planning options arise every year and the Academy educational programs keep us on the cutting edge of those new techniques. We are excited to offer our clients the new Legacy Wealth Planning techniques to enhance the legacy they leave their family and the impact it will have on generations to come.”
“The Academy has always had a focus on families passing on their financial wealth to future generations along with their non-financial wealth, such as family values, traditions and heritage, which is often overlooked in traditional planning,” says Robert Armstrong, the co-founder of the American Academy. “Attorney Roy W. Litherland regularly presents on the Legacy Wealth Planning concepts and uncovers for families why most traditional estate plans fail and reveals the latest strategies he has been providing local families ways in which they can fulfill their desire to distribute assets, as well as their values and wisdom.”
The Law Office of Roy W. Litherland devotes its practice to estate planning matters and has helped thousands of families meet their long-term estate and financial goals.
