Many families are shocked to learn just how much the probate process will cost them, often leaving them with a much smaller inheritance than they’d expected. Use our calculator below to estimate Probate fees for estates over $184,500, but less than $10,000,000. Probate fees are set by California Probate Code Section 10810.

We Invite You to Join Us in Helping Two Families this Holiday Season

We understand that there are lingering and lasting impacts brought on by COVID and other socioeconomic forces out of our control. Fortunately, we all find ourselves in a position to be able to give back to our community. To that end, this year, Litherland, Kennedy & Associates will be participating in the Adopt-a-Family Holiday Gift Drive supported by the Bill Wilson Center.

We have chosen two families to sponsor this holiday season. We would like to offer our clients the opportunity to join us in sponsoring these families. If you would like to contribute, we have prepared an online chart where you can select which item(s) you would like to donate. Our office will purchase all remaining items and donate all gifts to the Bill Wilson Center, per their request. We thank you in advance for your contributions and support.

PLEASE BRING UNWRAPPED ITEM(S) TO THE OFFICE NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30 (please note that masks are required in our office). 

If you prefer to donate a gift card for these families, the Bill Wilson Center also accepts gift cards to Amazon, Target or Walmart in increments of $50 which you can also drop off at our office no later than Tuesday, November 30.

**A note from the Bill Wilson Center about gift guidelines**

Prohibited Items: USED gifts. All items must be new.

Gift Wrap Requirements: Please DO NOT WRAP GIFTS. Gift bags are welcome, however.

Additional Information:

For clothing, please include gift receipts in case the items do not fit. In addition, please do NOT give clothing in red or blue. Also, please do NOT include notes or cards for children. Because of confidentiality agreements, we cannot provide photographs or other identifying information regarding individuals in the Adopt-A-Family program. We are not able to provide thank you cards from the youth and families you help.

We understand not everyone can adopt and go shopping. We also accept gift cards; Amazon, Target or Walmart. Increments of $50.
