Leading Silicon Valley estate planning and elder law attorneys, Justin M. Kennedy and Maggie A. LaBranch-Gonzales, and Director of Marketing and Client Relations Wendy Harshbarger, convened with other premier legal professionals deep in the heart of Texas as the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys hosted their 2022 Spring Summit May 12-15, 2022, at Austin Marriott Downtown, in Austin, Texas. This is the Academy’s 29th Spring Summit and their first Summit outside their home base of San Diego, California in three years.
As an organization serving Members across the country, the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys was excited to offer their bi-annual Summit aimed at providing both top-tier education opportunities and facilitating connections between Members and experts in estate planning. The education conference also focused on superior practice management and client services, ensuring Academy attorneys are always on the cutting edge.

Keynote speaker Doug Hanson kicked off the Spring Summit with an enthusiastic and inspiring keynote, Embracing Future Changes. The Litherland, Kennedy & Associates team received training in Federal Tax Updates, Fundamentals of Medicaid, law firm practice management for growth, and legal software. LKA attorneys Justin M. Kennedy and Maggie A. LaBranch-Gonzales also attended a cutting-edge session on digital assets titled Building Block of Blockchain: Planning with Cryptocurrency for Estate Planners.
