Far too many people are unprepared from an estate planning perspective. There are various different reasons why people fail to take the appropriate actions, and a lack of awareness may be at the top of the list.
In an effort to raise awareness, the Financial Awareness Foundation worked alongside a number of lawmakers to make the third week in October National Estate Planning Awareness Week. This year the week begins on October 20th, and it will end on October 26th.
During this interim there will be a lot of information circulating, and we want to contribute to the effort.
Free Special Reports
If you want to educate yourself about estate planning, we offer a very valuable resource through this website.
Our firm has prepared an extensive electronic library of special reports. These reports will provide you with a solid foundation of information so that you can go forward in an intelligent and informed manner.
Our in-depth reports are offered to our readers on a complimentary basis. You can download any or all of the reports absolutely free of charge.
To look over the titles in our library, visit this page: Free Estate Planning Reports.
Estate Planning Workshops
We deliver information electronically through our reports and through the steady stream of content that we post on this blog. However, we also provide educational opportunities through our ongoing series of estate planning and elder law workshops.
There are a number of workshops coming up during the next few weeks. We are going to be conducting a Medi-Cal planning workshop on October 30th in our Campbell, California office. The workshop will start at 4:00 p.m. and it will last for about an hour and a half.
Throughout the month of November we will be offering workshops that cover special needs planning, living trusts, and the coordination of veterans benefits along with Medi-Cal coverage.
These seminars will provide attendees with a great deal of very valuable information, and there is no charge to attend the information sessions.
We do ask that you register for the workshop or workshops that you would like to attend, so that we can reserve your space.

Benefits of Planning
In closing, we would like to provide some motivation during National Estate Planning Awareness Week. When you make plans throughout your life, you are the one who will benefit in the end.
Estate planning is unique, because you are taking steps to provide for those that you love when you plan your estate. When you look at it from this perspective, you should be motivated to take action.
