On Friday, July 22, 2022, LKA Attorney Maggie A. LaBranch-Gonzales welcomed Dementia Consultant and Educator Tami Anastasia to speak at our Ask the Expert series. Tami spoke about techniques to help facilitate effective communication with people who have dementia, the challenges of caregiving for someone who has dementia, what to avoid, and provided dementia-friendly communication strategies and tips.
About the speaker: Tami Anastasia is an Alzheimer’s and dementia counselor and educator, providing one-on-one caregiver support, guidance and strategies to help make the dementia journey easier on the caregiver.
